- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a learning junkie. I never stop learning new things and from every aspect of the business. While I'm always learning to improve my technical skills and knowledge, I'm very interested now in online marketing; both the technical and the higher level of how to really connect with your target market and position yourself, your product or service as the thing that solves their need.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was the Secretary for Graduate Programs at a University and they taught us how to do web design so that we could maintain our department's pages, and I just took off it with immediately. I later went back to school for graphic design, and then got an even better job combining web and graphic design.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would look at all of the provider's work and try to understand their level of involvement:look, at the quality of the work, the writing, how focused the message or the marketing goals were in each piece.
