Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Come prepared with what you need to produce, such as text files, images, logos (if you can), and anything that will help us produce your product as quickly as possible.

We prefer all your files be provided digitally whether by email, ftp, or flash drive. If you cannot provide your info and pictures in digital format we can transfer the information manually and via scanning.

If clients have a hard time writing their own sales pitches and copy they should hire a copywriter to help them. We do have access to freelance copywriters if client require such services but they are at an additional charge.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Hire a professional!! I can not stress this enough.

Don't use the next door neighbors kid, a cousins, an art student, a new graduate from art school, etc. Most of these individuals have little to no experience with current technology and how to maximize it's potential and cut costs.

Before beginning any project consult with a professional firm or development outfit that has been in business for a while. Ask them to provide a portfolio of finished projects for you to review. Then call some of their clients and ask them about their experience working with the designer/developer.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. A client should ask what materials they can provide to speed up development.

Clients should have a budget in mind to help scale the amount of options available to them.

Clients should have researched a demographic they hope to appeal to with their advertising or product line.

Time constraints are a major factor in production, please allow for enough time to develop, print and/or post your project. Printing typically takes 4-10 days depending on unit amounts and web development can take just as much time if not longer depending on what is required of the website.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. A client that wants to be successful in today's market place should plan their projects thoroughly. as the old saying goes "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". What the client does before going into development will decide if they will save money and time or just waste it.
