Introduction: Attention to detail and understanding a wedding couples wishes are so very important. I take it to heart and follow up with each client through out the whole process for this very important day. They may have a question? I answer promptly. Every couple is so wonderfully different. That's what makes it so interesting and I like the whole process from the beginning at the first inquiry to the completion of the ceremony.......where another happy couple are on their path of a wonderful life together.

Reverend Robert Carter officiated my wedding on 6/18/15. He did an amazing job. On our first meeting he had a wedding book available with pictures of previous weddings he had done and discussed his work history. He reviewed details of the ceremony and really walked us through the process. Rev. Carter is a skilled public speaker and I was very pleased with his services. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wedding officiant. Thank you for making our day so special!

While he was prompt in his reply, he ultimately lead me on and booked someone else. After about a week of back and forth, I decided to book him and informed him of this. He was out of town for the weekend and advised me to call him "Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday". By Monday evening, he informed me he had booked someone else, even after repeatedly telling me my wedding date was available. I understand the need to prioritize paying customers over tire-kickers, but I was not even given (in my opinion) a reasonable window to follow through with the booking I had told him I wanted, and that he had given me to confirm. Just be careful if you are relying on this guy to follow through. He will overlap potential clients, so be sure to have a backup choice even if he gives the impression he will be available.
Reverend Robert Carter's reply
I am very saddened by Selena's disappointment in our unconcluded transaction. I must have been inept and communicated incorrectly with her. The mistake was not due to me assigning priorities with her nor did the money calculation come into the failed transaction. It was rather my inability to communicate with her in a clear and correct manner. My communication skills have always been less than perfect even though I am a minister of over 40 years. Some of us face this challenge from childhood (as I do) and we suffer the consequences as I am now. I freely acknowledge I am not the best communicator, speaker, or even close to being eloquent. It seems as though she thought we had a commitment and I wasn't aware she thought a commitment had been made, especially since no deposit had be applied. Never-the-less the error is entirely mine. It is my responsibility to communicate clearly with whom I come in contact, no matter the subject or context. I apologize to her publicly now and ask her forgiveness for my poor communication skill. I am very disappointed that she was even slightly unhappy with our telephone relationship/attempted transaction. Being a man of God, I am deeply regretful of this failed communication resulting in her unhappiness. I will certainly be more aware of the circumstances and commitments both made and perceived going forward. With sincerity and humbleness, Yours Reverend Robert Carter San Diego CA Nov 20 2014
