Introduction: I have a relaxed and natural approach to photography and love finding the right light and location. I prefer photographing with film and digital, which I try to offer with all portrait sessions. I love meeting new people and getting them to relax in front of a camera is the biggest challenge, but I always manage to accomplish that.

Evan is personable, friendly, laid back, and aims to please. He has a terrific eye for composition and is obsessed with finding that most fundamental of photography elements: good light. The results of his natural talent speak for themseleves. I found working with him to be a joy and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the results of our engagement shoot session. I would recommend him without reservation (I do recommend him! If you're looking, Evan is your guy!) and couldn't be more satisfied with my experience.

Evan is a great photographer. He has done my wedding photo and family photos as well. Very professional and creative with his ideas and vision for the photo shoot. While we were on our shoot it felt like we were just walking around Balboa Park. All the while Evan was taking shots of us and really capturing the natural interaction of my family and I. I would highly recommend him for all of your photography needs.

My now husband and I weren't too sure at first whether we wanted to take engagement photos. But after our session with Evan we are SUPER glad we did!!! Evan's photos are beautiful and I cannot wait to frame them and get them in an album. He was so awesome to work with and really knows how to get photos to look natural rather than posed, which is exactly what we wanted. On top of that, he took photos at our reception and made an amazing video! Both are items we will treasure forever. We are so glad to have had him capture the moments for us :) Evan is highly recommended!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet at a location that the client prefers. If they're unsure where they'd like to have their photos taken I can provide a location that is close to them, or at a half way point between us. Walking around the specified area and finding pockets of light and beauty is what I am for.
