I have been studying Egyptian Style belly dance since 1974. My first teacher was Egyptian born Jodette Silhi Johnson. Since then I have discovered the intricacies of Classic Egyptian style belly dance and have registered these intricacies with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as the Egyptian Dance Code®. I also own and operate my own Egyptian restaurant called Al-Masri Egyptian Restaurant where I offer authentic cuisine and provide a safe space for graduates to dance in the restaurant as a featured dancer. Moreover, I offer live Arabic/Egyptian music for the furtherance of dance education and networking.
