Introduction: Kathak Dance and Tabla Classes in San Francisco Come by and learn centuries old classical dance style "Kathak" from Sarika Parekh, who has earned her Bachelor of Arts in Kathak Dance and has years of experience teaching this traditional dance style. Along with teaching pure classical Kathak style which is best known for its speed, footwork and free flow of movements, she also specializes in a variety of Indian folk dance styles like Bhangra, Garba, Guhmmar, Koli, Raas, etc. Classes are offered on Weekends. School also offers Tabla (Indian drums lessons) with instructor Jerry Barr - Disciple of Ustad Zakir Hussian. Jerry is and experienced instructor and Tabla player who has performed with various renowned artist in both Hindustani and Carnatic music here in US and overseas.
