I don't start out with a fixed idea of what a client should do in order to write the book of their heart, or how they should go about it. If someone has a heart's desire to write a book, then I go into my work with them trusting that there is something within them that knows what they want.
She adds that what book writers really want is to see their selves as they have never been seen before: not by parents, not by teachers, not even by intimate friends; and writing is one profound way to do it.
But it helps a great deal if someone else sees that in you first. That opens the door to seeing it for yourself. That's a lot of what I do.
