Introduction: With the culmination of 4 years as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, 2 years as a physical therapy aide, 2 years of athletic training, and 4 years in the industry of general fitness, my appreciation for human performance far exceeds that of just a personal trainer. My systematic way of coaching a client to achieve the results they desire has been in the works for close to 10 years, and still evolving for the better. What I love about coaching the most is the fact that I can confidently call this my mission, and not my work. I wake up energized every morning to create and impact in each and every of my client that day.

Jan customizes my training to be exactly what I need -- working around injuries, strengthening my weaknesses, and helping me reach my goals. Mixing it up so I never get bored, he's the perfect coach and counselor for both athletes and the rest of us.

Working with Jan Milano has been an incredible uplifting life experience for me. He is interested in all aspects of my health, and gently guides me where I need to be focused, but has also taught me the discipline needed to reach my potential when he works me hard during our workouts together. Here is my experience after working with Jan for a year and a half. It was after I had a back spasm in May 2013, and was in physical therapy, that I realized if I didn’t take care of my body I was headed for bigger trouble down the road. I'm in my 50's so breaking old habits are not easy. I was told by doctor and therapist that I needed to build up my core strength. I knew I could not do this alone. Initially I had my fears about being able to achieve my goals, but after my first session with Jan I had a new confidence. He is very knowledgeable about every aspect of the body and he knows what is needed to get results. He also has a degree in Kinesiology, and that was important to me because it elevates his knowledge of how the mind and body works in human health and occupational and physical therapy. In about 6 weeks of seeing him twice a week, I no longer had the back pain issues. We now workout at a small private gym called Diakadi, which is mainly only coaches and their clients, so it is never too busy and we always have access to the equipment. Jan has helped me to live a more stress-free life. I struggle with hypertension, high cholesterol and border-line diabetes, so losing weight, eating a healthy diet, and regular exercise is crucial for my health and life-expectancy. After my back was feeling much better I set the goal to lose some weight. I started with the idea of 10-15 lbs., but reality was that I needed to lose 25-30 pounds, and I could never seem to keep it off. I had years of bad eating habits. I had tried Nutri-system and other diet plans with only short-term results. Jan taught me how to “eat to live,” and not “live to eat.” It made sense to me. Over the course of 3 months, through taking Jan's suggestions for diet and nutrition, along with the exercise plan we had in place, I lost 23 pounds and a year later still have maintained the weight loss through the new way of eating that Jan taught me. For the past 6 months we have been focusing on strength building with the goal of adding muscle mass and showing definition in my physique. Jan has helped me to see progress in my goals and is always positive and supportive. My life and my health have improved greatly since knowing Jan and working with him. I’m happy he’s in my life.

I will and am saying that Jan Milano is the best professional skilled professional Trainor I could possibly ask for. I am so lucky to have him not only to help my physical body look sexy but also to help my mind and lifestyle to be on point as well. He life coaches me when I come in to work out when he sees me not at my best that day. Guiding me with positivity giving me strength and helping me achieve my physical body goals as well as life goals everyday goals. He puts me on track. I have so much more energy now a lot more confidence and I look and feel better! I am now progressing with my physique being in shape with guidance in nutrition as well as progressing with my career, and feeling HAPPY again! I am so lucky to have Jan Milano as a personal Trainor he truely cares and will work as hard side by side with you to succeed to your goals! I am forever thankful! I had the privilege of training with Jan once and he has continued to provide me with meaningful advice on how to successfully reach my fitness goals since then. When training with Jan, he instills his clients with confidence and his passion for fitness and helping others truly shines. He was very motivating, trained with me and was by far the most knowledgable trainer I have ever worked with. Knowing the limitations I have due to my previous history with knee surgeries, Jan was still able to give me an excellent workout. Additionally, any time I have a question or need help with my current training regimen, Jan makes himself available and provides me with meaningful and professional advice that has never failed me. I have been involved in health and kinesiology as both a student and professional and Jan is by far the most knowledgable and passionate fitness professional I have ever come in contact with. He is dedicated to his field, takes pride in his work, and continues to find ways to better himself. I would without a doubt recommend Jan as a trainer to anyone and everyone who is seeking help with fitness. Jan Milano is simply the best.

I have been training with Jan for 3 years. He helped me train for my first marathon in 2012, including providing support when I hit the wall and had unrelated medical issues that interfered with my training. He really cared about my overall health and happiness.
