Hi, my name is Justin Houchin.
I began playing rock and blues guitar at the age of thirteen. In college, I studied classical guitar performance, and I am currently a 3rd-year student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I study with world-renowned guitarist and composer Sergio Assad.
Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time or are already a trained guitarist looking to expand or improve your technique, I can help you.
Every person has their own musical tastes and aspirations and it is my goal to help you become the guitarist and musician that YOU want to be. I help each individual student learn to play the music that they like and reach their own goals.
My motto is, “If it’s not fun, it’s not right.”
My teaching experience includes a studio of private students as well as a group guitar classes at the CCHC Youth Center in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay academy.
