Artina is great! She has a great personality and sense of style. She recently suggested a new/updated style of haircut and facial hair for me and I've been getting alot of compliments! I highly recommend Artina, she is amazing!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be prepared to pay for good services. A good stylist won't be offering a $10 haircut (unless it is a discount or modeling opportunity). When seeking a new hairstylist, look for a salon & stylist who are highly rated, check out sites like Yelp. Referrals from friends are always great too.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Know your hair! Ask your stylist questions. If your stylist is good, they won't mind educating you about your hair type and the services they are providing to give you the most knowledge about taking care of your hair properly to get that "fresh from the salon" look everyday.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Be as clear as possible when describing what you are looking for in your stylist and give details regarding your hair when booking your appointment (short, long, thick, curly, etc.). This will help the front desk staff identify the best stylist to meet your needs.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love working with individuals (hairstyling) and creative teams (hair/makeup) to achieve the looks desired. As an artist, it is a joy to partner with people to create looks that either suit their personal lifestyle or give a project director a creative edge to their work.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I love it when my client brings in a picture of a look they are hoping to achieve, and then executing it. The best responses I've received are "I never thought I'd get my hair to look like this," or "I've been trying to get my hair to do this for a long time, but this is the first time it really looks like what I've wanted."

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Hairstyling pricing varies by services. Please call the salon for pricing details.

Hair/Makeup Artist rates run from $25 hr up, depending upon complexity of project, makeup kit requirements, and travel expectations.
