Introduction: I studied towards a doctorate degree in Nutritional Biochemistry in order to understand the fundamentals of nutrition, to complement my extensive knowledge of fitness training. I have been an athlete my entire life and I love teaching others how to be more active. My goal is to get my clients ADDICTED to exercise in the same way that I have been all my life. I LOVE helping others look great, feel amazing and love the way their body feels. By combining both nutrition and fitness training together, I approach health through a multi-pronged approach that works well. My client's success is my success!

Cyrus is AWESOME. When I first moved to SF 8 months ago I really wanted to improve my diet and get fit! He helped me understand some of my not-so-stellar diet habits and offered up amazing suggestions and tips on how to make better choices. He also was supportive and integral in getting my fitness routine on track. The bootcamp class he holds is completely crazy awesome and the best part was that no equipment is involved. He showed the class amazing hour long routines that you could do almost anywhere and definitely feel the burn after. I would definitely recommend him based on all of that but his positive attitude and passion for health and fitness are what put him over the top!

Trained with Cyrus for about 3-4years. We trained in a group that ranged in fitness from world-class Ultimate Frisbee players to work-out novices. Cyrus was able to design workouts that challenged all of us perfectly, even though we had very different fitness levels and goals. Working with Cyrus resumes to two words: fun and inspiring. Not only is he an expert in nutrition and exercise, but he also has the gift of working well with people and the genuine desire to help you be the best version of yourself. He has a great sense of humor, extremely intelligent and will help you achieve your goal! Since talking to Cyrus about nutrition, I have been following the 80-10-10 (% of carbs-fat-protein) that he recommends and I feel much more energized and the weight came off effortlessly.     I am a scientist by training, and I am constantly reading the literature for scientific information to improve my methods and increase my knowledge base. The more I learn, the more I can help others.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    Because I LOVE exercising, I LOVE eating great food, and I LOVE teaching others how to improve their quality of life.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    I reccomend that all clients find a trainer that suits their style of exercise and communication. If you need someone who acts like a drill seargent, then please specify that to your prospective trainer. If you prefer someone who is gentle in their approach, then this is also helpful information.
