Introduction: Many coaches come from the world of business (human resources), psychology, or personal growth (EST, etc.) My extensive background in the performing arts gives me a fresh perspective to dealing with life's challenges. And, no, that doesn't mean I specialize in coaching performers, although you're more than welcome! I love one-on-one interactions with all sorts of people, and it's a blessing to be able to get in there and get to the heart of what anyone feels is "holding them back."

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Maybe this seems obvious, but have a phone conversation with any potential coach about why you're considering life coaching. See if you get an intuitive hit that he or she might be the coach for you. Don't do it by email. The phone isn't perfect either, you might just have to spring for the first hour to really get a good idea.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Lots of folks, particularly guys, see problems and want to "fix" them. (Don't tell anybody, but to be honest, that's me sometimes...) I am not going to fix you, nor will any other coach. There is nothing wrong with you. Most of the challenges in our lives are the result of beliefs we've developed one way or another over the course of our lives. If you can identify your beliefs in a safe, supportive atmosphere you can then use a variety of tools to change them, IF YOU WANT TO. A good coach will be there not just to apply tools and techniques, but to establish goals and help provide accountability if that's what's called for.
