John Moore

I'm a Harvard graduate with 7 years experience teaching kids math and economics. I can teach basic math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and SAT Math. My approach is straightforward. I simplify learning challenges by using relevant examples in a child's life. If he/she is into sports, I can use that vehicle to teach. There is math in natural sciences, social sciences, medicine, music, technology and several other aspects of our lives. Finding the right subject to discuss will significantly improve the likelihood of a child to understand basic concepts. At Harvard, I studied child psychology so I'm experienced working with children, particularly ones who may have learning disabilities or aren't motivated to excel in school. Lastly, I am a former military brat who has lived all over the world. Following graduation, I spent 5 years working on Wall St. in New York City and a few more working in Silicon Valley. The diversity of my own experiences help me to teach concepts in a more interesting manner and to serve as a positive role model for children.
