- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After taking a 3-course series in Calculus (all As) at my first college and tutoring for several years, I attended another college here in San Francisco where I re-took the Calculus series with an instructor who is devoted to teaching for Math majors.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started helping my classmates out when I was taking my first algebra course. By the time I was halfway through my first Calculus course, the Director of the Math Learning Center began to recruit me into the lab. He practically INSISTED that I work there. Over the next 3 1/2 years, he and his assistants trained me and groomed me to be a professional math tutor.
