Childcare & Tutoring

I graduated from UC Davis in International Relations and currently am completing my masters in Integral Counseling Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.

I see children and adult clients as part of my clinical practicum as a marriage and family therapist trainee. Two afternoons a week, I tutor 4th and 5th graders from Lawton Alternative School (Sunset).

My experience with children started 23 years ago at age 11, babysitting two small children and practically raising my baby brother while my mother worked.

I am certified in infant, child and adult First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross. My fingerprints are registered with and background checked by the US Department of Justice. This was paid for by Reading Partners, a non-profit organization I worked for at Daniel Webster Elementary School (Portrero Hill) tutoring 3rd graders on reading skills.

I enjoy hikes and outdoor activities with my husband and one-year-old puppy, Vico. My latest interest is making terrariums. I am an avid learner and really enjoy my new career path since it utilizes all my core strengths of empathy, compassion, patience, intelligence, and humanistic interest.

You will find that I’m dependable and conscientious. Many say that I’m patient. My demeanor may come off as very gentle, but I’m not afraid to set boundaries with children.
