I own and operate a private personal training studio in the SoMa of downtown San Francisco.
I also offer in-home private training to clients in the Napa and the Marin.
I specialize in weight loss and body toning programs. Utilizing a combination of disciplines in my training sessions. Blending strength training, Pilates, Yoga stretching, cross fit and cardiovascular training together into a style of training I call Sequential Progression.
Every client is different so every session and training program needs to be different.
In Sequential Progression I first observe and evaluate each clients Range of motion, flexibility, strength and core stability. This method of efficiently and safely concluding each client’s physical capacity allows me to appropriately shift between stretching, cardio, strength and core movements simultaneously within each session. I have developed this method of training over the past 15 years working with hundreds of clients.
Ultimately Sequential Progression enables me to help my clients reach their goals faster, while teaching them a wide range of exercise techniques and giving each individual a program that can help them maintain their goal long after we train together. My goal as a trainer is to help you define, achieve and maintain what fitness means to YOU.
I have worked as a full-time trainer for the last 20 years. I work with a large variety of clientele from professional super bike racers, to elderly with special needs.
I believe that healthy people help build healthy families; and healthy families create healthy communities. I'm proud to support the health of the Bay Area community and strive to contribute to the health of the global community, one person at a time.
Call or email me for a complimentary 90-minute session and fitness consultation.
Good health is a gift; great health is a choice.

I've never worked out a day in my life and to say I was deathly intimidated by a gym, any physical activities, or a meat head trainer is the understatement of a lifetime. Tomas is helping me get over that intimidation and I'm thankful for him every day!
I'm in my twenties and I existed like someone 75yrs old rapidly aging by the day. I found Tomas and it was like finding the light! The first time we met, we talked extensively about how I felt about myself and what my goals were. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a therapy session, but I went in this not knowing what I needed or how to get to a healthy place. Tomas made me feel comfortable and I was able to share a lot with him. He created a road map for me to follow AND it isn't intimidating. From that first day on, Tomas has remained very goal oriented. Every session is personalized to help me reach my goals. It helps me focus and I'm grateful that Tomas is always looking out for what I want and how I can get there. I've worked with Tomas for 5months now and I feel there have been miles of progression. Tomas always has innovative ways to help me with fitness in the gym and out. He always has a tip on how to stay healthy like fighting off a cold or nutritional habits to easily stick with. It's not just a workout, he's very informational and the sessions can feel like health and fitness education. If you need him to, he'll explain and inform you about anything related to exercise, diet, and lifestyle.
He's very easy to get along with and I'm comfortable with this guy!
Here are some highlights:
If you are easily intimidated, the private studio on Brannan Street is nice. There are never lots of people there. I feel like it's a judgment free zone, and it doesn't smell like a gym! Also it’s easy to find street parking.
You can really tell Tomas is passionate about what he does and he is always happy to see you. It's nice to know he enjoys helping you get where you want to go with health and fitness.
Tomas is super flexible. Scheduling a session is never difficult; he's always available over phone and email and is great at accommodating last minute appointment changes.
I was afraid that when I started training, the trainer would look at me in disgust because I was sooooo immobile and weak, but Tomas does really make you feel comfortable and helps me build physical and mental strength.
There is nothing to lose when you work with Tomas except excessive body weight and fat!

A. When you looking to hire a fitness professional there are two things I believe are most important
#1. What kind of physical shape is the instructor in?
I feel that it is my responsibility as a fitness pro to be in excellent physical condition, should be obviously apparent from trainer’s photos AND in person. One of my peat peeves; Trainers who talk about what they used to do? If a trainer does not maintain peak physical condition. Then they cannot help you achieve what they themselves have not accomplished. Does this mean that they need to be muscle bound meat heads? (NO). That is why I believe that the second most important thing you should look for in a trainer is very much connected to the first thing.
#2. I believe the best trainers are competitive athletes. If you really want to learn from the best? If you want to gain real insight? Than you might want to consider a trainer who is actively competing in a sport. Athletes push the envelope. They take human performance to the bounds of possibilities. When you work with a trainer who is athletically active. Your most likely to have a much more complete and complet experience. Than when you simply hire someone who only knows. How to build biceps & tone buns. To sum up. I think it is important to look for a trainer who is not only in great shape. Look for a trainer who knows how and is in the practice of a creating functional performance in the human body.
A. I belive its important to ask why a person is working in their given field or profession. The best service comes from busness owners who love what they do. All businesses have operational aspects that might not be enjoable.
But there is always a great feeling of pride to enjoy. When a job or service is well done.
Ask why they do what they do & what they enjoy most about completing a job. The passion of a great service provider will quickly become apparent. As will the absance of, when you incounter a business you might whant to avoid. A good service provider will have an abundance of interesting stories, related to their service.
They will be more than happy to share with you. If you take the time to ask.
A. My Style of Personal Training is based on over 20 years of experiance working with a large variety of clients.
The main thing that sets me apart from other trainers is that I walk the walk.
You can only teach what you do. I take my own state of physical fitness very seriously. I think a big part of my job is to mantain top physical fitness, no matter what is going on in my life or how busy I am. Teaching clients to create balance is what it's all about.
I do it in my own life, therefore, I can teach it. I feel it's important to be an inspiration to my clients.
At age 39 I'm in better shape than I was at 20. As a longevity specialist I help my clients get in shape and give them the tools to stay in shape for life. I became a trainer because it's who I am, not just something I do for work.
Nothing gives me more joy than helping my clients improve there health and daily quality of life.
A. There are many things I enjoy about being a Personal Trainer. To pick one is very difficult.
Basically what it all boils down to is helping people improve their daily quality of life, long term health and life expectancy.
The health of the average American right now, to say the least is very pore. Many people I work with have no idea where to start when it comes to using exercise & good nutrition to help improve their lives.
The typical client I work with is 35-50 years old, yet many times when we get done with the first session. I find that they often have the physical capacity, endurance and strength of a poorly conditioned 55 year old. In most cases I can have them looking and felling li strong & healthy within 4-6 months of proper exercise and diet.
About 20% of my clients are well conditioned athletes who want to take it to the next level in a particular sport or are multi sport athletes like myself.
No matter who I work with the most satisfying thing about being a personal Trainer is knowing that the work I do with a client today can have a positive effect on their lives 10 or 20 years later.
A. My Greatest stength is that i genuinely care about the long tearm health and over all well being of all my clients.
Any trainer can direct a person through a series of sessions. But it takes passion and whole hearted commitment to help people make long tearm significant changes that will make a lasting difference in their life.
Long after the training program is over.
I pay great attention to give my clients the skills they need, to evolve their fitness programs indepedently.
I want to look back 20 years from now and see that all my people are continuing to live active, Fun & healthy lives.
