I have worked with Nate for over 3 years and it's been one of the most rewarding three years of my life when it comes to personal, physical goals. I started with Nate when he was a trainer at Sports Club LA. We were randomly paired and it was the best random pairing ever. From the very beginning, Nate took the time to listen to my goals, my strengths and my weaknesses. Working out with him quickly became one of my favorite days of the week. I've always been someone who loves to workout so I never had an issue with motivation, but once Nate and I got on a regular routine and scheudle, my motivation bumped up ten fold. He's so encouraging and positive and I think what I like best is, he's real. He incorporates his own struggles and weaknesses into his philosophy and that was always so motivating to me. He understands what one goes through to obtain their goals and really change their body. His compassion for each and every one of his clients is like no other. He would and does go above and beyond. He wants his clients to succeed at their goals. An example of this is when I was working with a nutritionist and not getting results, Nate agreed to have a conversation with her to help modify my workouts to support what she and I were working on. Also, I recently broke a toe and was sure that I was not going to be able to get out of my workouts what I prevously had. Nate modified the workouts so I could still do what I was doing before, and honestly those were some of the toughest workouts he and I ever did together! I also struggled with a shoulder impingment and Nate was knowledgeable to where he modified excersices so I wouldn't continue to injure that shoulder more. Over the years, Nate has not only been my personal trainer, but he's also become a close friend whom I trust completly, yet he's always kept a very professional business and attitude. If I could afford to fly to LA twice a week to workout with him, I would! He's worth the money and more.

I started training with Nate in the typical fashion – about 2 months before my wedding. I hadn’t worked with a trainer before as motivation to get to the gym has never been an issue for me. Tennis, running, spinning – lots of cardio plus a weekly tennis game was plenty to keep me feeling good mentally, able to eat & drink what I wanted, and to generally be happy with how I looked. But, as one does before their wedding – I decided to try something new. I was immediately hooked. Nate made strength training fun – it wasn’t just a run through various machines on the strength deck or run of the mill free weight exercises. He had me flipping tires, throwing down medicine balls, swinging kettle bells, pushing sleds, jumping on boxes and running stairs. Of course, when it came time to use those traditional machines or free weights, there was some sort of twist to keep it fresh. Without a doubt – my body changed – for the first time in my life, my abs had great definition and I found that I needed to log less cardio time as in truth, ti get the the psychic benefits of cardio work within a good half hour. I kept training with Nate after my wedding and through my first pregnancy. We adjusted the work outs as time went on and followed the rule of not adding anything new. I felt great throughout and was still running (or at least waddling) through my 8th month. I had a very easy time losing the pregnancy weight and I’m certain it was because I stayed fit and active through those 9 months. Though Nate left New York for sunnier pastures on the West Coast, we’ve kept in touch and I’ve been lucky enough to squeeze in workouts with him when I’ve traveled to San Francisco and LA.

Nate was my trainer for 3 years when he lived in San Francisco. Thanks to Nate, I was able to achieve my fitness goals (I met and maintained my target BMI and increased my overall strength). Nate always provided me new challenges which kept me highly motivated and focused. Also Nate has a great personality and our sessions were always very enjoyable. I can highly recommend Nate and would work with him again in a heartbeat if he ever decided to come back to San Francisco. He is excellent!

Nate is a very motivational trainer who tailors his work-out program based on the objectives and level of his clients. I started working out with Nate after years of being inactive and was able to get into much better shape with his support. Nate kept me on my toes and I always left our training sessions feeling like I did more than I thought I was able to. Nate also gave me recommendations on balancing my diet, and showed me exercises that I could do on my own which I really appreciated. If you want a trainer who will give you a great workout, keep you inspired and get you into shape Nate is your guy.
