Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I've learned from clients that my unique approach and view of things - its been said, 'my creative voice' is why I am hired or commissioned. My dedication and passion to a project can also be one of the pluses clients have mentioned, that drive to keep going until things are done and done well.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Often clients will ask - how did you come up with that idea? I like that question as it opens a window to talk about the client's motivations for creating the project they are seeing me about bringing to fruition.

On a more practical level, most often clients want to know - what does the process involve, and, how does the process figure into your pricing structure? These are great questions since creative projects often involve negotiating and finding common ground between different viewpoints on aesthetics, message, and outcomes. The price sheet and contract spell out how each stage bills so that we are on the same page from the start and can trust moving forward.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am involved in several continuing education programs through Fractured Atlas, NewsUniversity, and several online training sources. I also regularly attend events in San Francisco to learn from the wealth of creative talent of the region.
