Question and answer

  • Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

    A. The style of work I have aimed for has always been "creative" not "immitative". Much of my work incorporates styles and compositions never seen before in the art or photographic world; it's my signature.

  • Q. What do you like most about your job?

    A. The best part about my "job" is that it's not one. I focus nearly 100% of my efforts on creating artwork that inspires and loves... that's not work.

  • Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

    A. My favorite stories are all through travels. I loved working in the mountains of northern Vietnam, the Muong tribes there offer a beautiful gimpse into the great culture and the manners of the indigenous people. All through the world my favorite times have been spent with natives of the earth.

  • Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

    A. The Enlightened Love Project is my latest artistic and humanitarian endeavor, and it is the most worth while work I have worked on.

  • Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

    A. It's been fun to be in the beginning of the digital era. I began my career with film and still shoot large formats of film for landscape and abstract works; but the digital age brings us an entire new level of photography not possible in the past. It's an honor to have been recognized as an innovator in the field of photography and art by pushing the limits and discovering new possibilties. An example is the "painting" images together to bring the exposures to a perfect balance with each other, sometimes better than even our eyes can see.

I expect digital capture to become more precise and with high detail/definition. With the advancement of sensors we will start seeing unbelievably realistic images and artisitc exposures that define a new standard in documentation.
