My fiance and I did last minute engagement photos with James in January 2014. We did our photos at UC Berkeley. The weather was gloomy with a slight drizzle at the start, but it cleared a bit by the time we got going. James was great working with the weather and temperamental clouds. He instructed us on where to stand and pose, and did some casual poses (we do much better with instructions). Our session was shorter than anticipated because of the weather, but our intention was a short session with a selection of photos anyway. The only suggestion I have would be to focus on all elements of the engagement, including the ring (because as all the ladies know, that's a big part of the picture!); other than that, James did a wonderful job getting out personalities to come out and shine! Additionally, James sent us a private link with selected photos to choose from. We were given digital copies of our chosen photos, both watermarked for sharing uses and unwatermarked for personal uses.

My fiancée and I had James take our Engagement photoes earlier this year. The photoes were absolutely amazing. It was a cloudy day with limited background options, and James still managed to pull off pictures that our friends keep raving about. James is very patient and goes the extra mile to secure the best possible shot (at one point he climbed a pillar to get a good vantage point). We can only give James my very best recommendations and hope that you will get just as great pictures as we did.

We had the pleasure of having engagement photos taken by James in both San Francisco and Berkeley this summer. He helped us plan our timings and locations to capture the light at its most atmospheric. We had a great time on both the days - and James' fun, energetic personality made us feel natural and relaxed for the photos. We think the quality of the photos speak for themselves.
