- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I pretty much offer hourly OR half-day & full day rates. If a job is a larger scale or commercial job and we need to shoot longer than 2 days, I have special project rates for billing. I have a typical flat hourly rate I use, and also have a flat hourly retouching rate--for any post-shoot retouching/add-on labor work, if/when needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide a friendly detailed overview of my background, services and inquire about my customers background, business needs and goals as well--to determine the scope of their inquiry. I then provide a range of options which best meet their needs and allow them to select a plan best supports their goals and any requirements. We discuss everything up front and thoroughly walk through and together establish the operational plan together before any labour milestones are met.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I will attend workshops and seminars whenever I have a chance. I try to read up on trends, technologies, practices, as much as possible. I am a real hands-on person, so I learn a lot from working with others.
