Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Photography is a very personal experience for both the subject and photographer. The interaction between the two has as much to do with the final image as do all the technical skills associated with taking a photograph. Ensuring a person is comfortable and allowing them to be themselves while capturing the environment they are in is something I truly love to do. Every single "job" is different. The people and places I photograph change and grow and every interaction is unique. No matter how many times someone photographs the Golden Gate Bridge, each image is different. Looking into a persons eyes and seeing them light up when talking about something they love to do is also a very special moment that I look forward to every time I make a portrait.

Chuck did a great job with the photography at my event, from beginning to end. He was very easy to reach on the phone before the event for any questions that I had, and figuring out logistics. The day of my daughter's 1st birthday party he arrived right on time (slightly early even), and was very communicative and easy to work with. Many of my guests complimented his demeanor and ability to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, even the kids! He was great with the kids! The pictures turned out lovely - exactly what I had envisioned - and the process of obtaining them could not have been easier. He had them up within 24 hours and provided me with a password encrypted link for me to download the photos myself, which is how I asked for them. I would highly recommend Chuck to anyone else, and wouldn't hesitate to hire him for any of my future photography needs. In fact, I look forward to working with him again!

The best thing about Charles is that he never let me worry about the job. I never sat by the phone wondering. He was fast, efficient, and took great photos. I highly recommend him and will use him again on future shoots.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing for portrait sessions is based on time required (number of locations and outfit changes) and the number of people you would like photographed. Event photography pricing is dependent upon the size of the venue and number of attendees. Prices are per hour but that also includes all the preparation and post event processing and editing of images as well as the cost of maintaining and providing an online image gallery. Not to mention technical know how and continuing education!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I attend seminars and workshops at least every 2 months throughout the year and go more frequently when time permits. Being a photographer is a constant journey of learning and experimenting with new techniques and ideas, continuing education is crucial to growth. I also stay active on sites such as NPPA.ORG, ASMP.ORG, and sportsshooter.com

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find samples of images you really like, that the photographer you are looking to hire has actually taken! Also check into any work that the photographer has actually done on a deadline for any media outlets such as newspapers or magazines, that will give you an idea if the photographer is able to meet and keep deadlines and provide the images that they were hired to capture.
