Gloria Saltzman

For more than 25 years, I have worked with people to help them find peace of mind for the struggles they face in their lives.

I work interactively, which means I am part of the conversation, and not a silent clinician. My interest in your life and background helps us to form an attached relationship that in my experience, leads to a calmer and more confident internal experience as you live your life.

Please feel free to call me for an initial phone conversation. We can find out together whether I am the right person for you to work with.

I do not accept insurance, but I will give you an invoice to submit to your carrier.

If your needs cannot be met with my services, I can offer referrals that would better suit you.

Men and women from all cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations are welcome.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. After a phone consultation we can find a time to meet.
It's important to choose a therapist that feels like a good fit for you.
Although the best way to make this choice is by working together for awhile, a good initial hint is to see what it's like to sit together with me.
We can have an initial consultation to help you make your choice.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. I believe it's important to feel committed and motivated to exploring your relationship to yourself in order to make the therapy work.

Normally our work includes weekly sessions.
I do not work directly with insurance companies but will provide an invoice for you to submit if you want to use your coverage.
If my fees do not meet your budget I am happy to provide referrals that will.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Ongoing education and consultation are part of my work and practice. I am interested in new ways of thinking about being human and understanding our relationships to ourselves and others.

My experience working with Gloria as my therapist has been interesting, challenging, and consistently focused on me. Sounds ideal and it is, when you are ready to delve into what makes you tick and what makes you crazy. I can only thank her as she has truly saved my life on three occasions. Only later have I realized how significant, valuable, and extraordinary she is at what she does. Don't get me wrong; it is work and there are many days when I would prefer we were hanging out as friends. Her approachability, softness, and warm sense of humor make the trying and crying episodes worth the pain and agony. What is agony for me may be simple to you; if you are feeling any discomfort, what is wrong with me, or how did I end up here moments, Gloria is a patient, trustworthy, and motivated counselor.
