Introduction: Despite living in a culture filled with endless ways to connect, we have becoming less connected with ourselves and others, which can often lead to symptoms of anxiety, depression, addictions, or just feeling stuck. I am passionate about helping you live your life and take action in a way that matches your values so that you can live authentically, have the security to adapt to stress, and build on your strengths that are already there. I provide practical skills to individual adults to build resiliency, increase emotional intelligence, self-esteem, awareness, and develop healthier relationships to improve the quality of your life. I am also passionate about working with couples to help them recognize the potential of the relationship when given the right tools. I'm trained in the Gottman method – a proven, research-based approach for couples to manage conflict, increase emotional and sexual intimacy, recover from affairs, and bring the fun back. Other specific specialties or populations include young professionals in start-ups and college students dealing with work-life balance, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts; cross cultural couples therapy; gay couples therapy; cultural/identity assimilation; addictions. I'd be happy to answer any questions during a free 20-minute phone consultation!

I was psychodynamically trained when working at Family Service Agency of Marin which has provided me a strong base to bring in elements of attachment theory into therapy. While working in a hospital setting, I was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Training which has provided me practice skills and behavioral changes that I can bring to my clients. I also worked at the Gay Couple Institute in San Francisco where I was trained in the Gottman method.
