Introduction: The premise of our work is to guide people out of the patterns where they may feel stuck in life. Our work guides, inspires, informs and introduces people to a more balanced life. Together we unblock, unmask, and release stories to shift out of current patterns and help you become more peacefully aligned. Reiki, meditation, intuitive guidance, bodywork, ayurveda and flower essences are all modalities which are called upon to create a deeper, evolved, yet pragmatic path to your wellbeing. When we are operating at our highest potential, we are naturally aligned and in integrity with our spirit, our body and our world.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

After a challenging lumbar back injury in 1999, I decided to take much better care of my body in a more compassionate manner. I began practicing yoga, which led to meditation, which then led to an opening of my intuitive senses. After three years I began to sense energetic imbalances in passersby on the street. My hands became like divining rods wanting to reach out and touch these people. Obviously that wasn't the most appropriate thing for me to do, so I realized I needed to look towards the healing arts for information. A friend of mine gave me a book about Reiki and it explained what I was feeling! I proceeded with certification for Levels I, II and my Master/Teacher Training. I began my professional Reiki practice in San Francisco in 2003 and have enjoyed guiding others towards a more balanced, centered life.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a Reiki therapist, be sure your practitioner is skilled specifically in the modality of Reiki. As energywork allows emotions to surface it is imperative to find a practitioner who is able to care for you and hold compassionate space. All practitioners should have a bio or story to tell about their work. Do your research and connect with the one who stands out for you! It is important to note that working with any healing practitioner should in no way prevent or preclude you from seeing a medical doctor or psychiatrist. If you are experiencing what you perceive to be a medical condition, you are encouraged to see a doctor in addition to any work that you may undertake with us. It is possible, however, that this holistic work may assist your doctor in locating a source for your condition. It is also true that this work may be of great value in cases where Western medicine has given up or progress seems unusually slow. We do not exclude allopathic medicine, but rather keep all approaches and points of view in awareness.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Reiki is a form of energy healing. It's a flow of pure chi, energy, channeled through the practitioner into the recipient. The biggest misconception about Reiki is that it is some kind of woo-woo or that the recipient has to 'believe' in it in order for it to work. Everything around us is energy, even our bodies are energy condensed into matter. When we have imbalance in the body it typically shows up energetically, but we rarely have the insight to pick up on it. It then shows up emotionally which we have a tendency to ignore. When it finally shows up physically in the body we realize it's time to make a change. Much the way an acupuncturist uses needles to stimulate the body's own natural healing, Reiki uses this channeleing of energy to assist the body's own natural healing system. A Reiki session allows the body to be still and restore at a deep level. When reinforced, this state begins to inform how we are in the world and ultimately shifts us out of the patterns which have not been useful in our lives.
