FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not very complicated really. Generally I charge anywhere from $200 to $350 for a wedding (depending on the scope) and that generally includes the rehearsal and a pre-wedding get-together and any Bay area travel expense (gas) that I incur. Should the couple desire or require music of me, that's extra and negotiable depending on what is needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. We chat on the phone initially to get acquainted about what they are looking for. 2. Often, we schedule a time to meet over coffee - nothing like a face to face meeting to get to know each other. 3. I forward a ceremony guide to the couple to look over and then walk them through creating a ceremony order that will be personal, engaging of all involved, meaningful and true to who they are as well as what marriage vows are all about. 4. We confirm an approach for the ceremony and the details surrounding the wedding. 5. I come and officiate their wedding!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There is nothing more important than reading, than keeping your mind active, alive and engaged by interacting with other thinkers and speakers who like me attempt to bring meaning to the complex lives that we all confront. I try to read...the Bible, fiction, non-fiction, people with whom I resonate and people with whom I disagree.
