I had Marcos install a fire safe wall with fire door in basement area, per Daly City code requirement. He knew exactly what I wanted, had his two workers at the job site on time every day. The workers were extremely professional. It was a very satisfying experience.

I originally submitted a request for stair repair, which I didn't end up needing. However Marcos came over to a house I was looking at buying and gave me a free estimate as well as advice concerning the work that needed to be done, what wasn't up to code, and what it would cost to have it fixed. He was very helpful and essential to the process, and advised that I shouldn't pay as much they were asking for the house. I did end up asking for and getting a lower price the house based on his estimates. Once I bought the house his employees also did a bathroom repair for me when there was a small fire. They were there the very next morning and did a very professional job. Marcos gave me the quote up front ahead of time and there were no hidden surprises.

I hired Marcos through Thumbtack to give me an estimate on what it what cost to repair a rental property garage I own. INITIAL MEETING Marcos was not just on time; he was early. He brought tools to measure and estimate. He asked questions and offered solutions. He did not try to upsell me. Furthermore, he did not treat my partner who is a woman, like she didn't know anything because of her gender. I was impressed. ESTIMATE Marcos was comprehensive in his estimate. There were no hidden costs. He was clear in listing the labor and materials as line items. He did the same for subcontractors. He was explicit about timelines. His contract made payment easy. PERFORMANCE Through out the project, Marcos checked in via text message. He sent photos of the progress via email and text. There were some surprises with the work once he removed the wall but Marcos made sure he contacted us before he moved forward. His solution was thoughtful in terms of our budget and long term use.
