- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love to write, and I wanted to make a living doing something I enjoyed. I feel extraordinarily lucky to have been able to do this full-time for 13 years.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm on a long-standing contract with a magazine in the UK, so right now the vast majority of my work is feature writing. While I enjoy that tremendously, it's also great to do something completely different. Recent projects have included a white paper for a personal coaching business, and SEO-optimized blog entries for an automotive company.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
There have been a few: I was proud to be commissioned to write the press release announcing the appointment of a new CEO for Porsche in China last year, whilst on the magazine front, I garnered a lot of attention for an adversarial head-to-head interview between Mario Andretti and IndyCar CEO Mark Miles.
