- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began teaching yoga because I have truly felt the benefits of my own practice. I have seen my physical practice improve (yay splits and arm-balances!) but most importantly, I have learned to let go of self-judgments and insecurities and replace them with confidence and compassion. I have been lucky to find some wonderful, genuine teachers that have influenced me and helped me grow. I started teaching so as to serve others the same benefits that I have experienced, firsthand.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach primarily Hatha and Vinyasa - based yoga classes. My classes range from 60-90 minutes. Classes begin with meditation and breath work, followed by a challenging but playful asana practice, appropriate for all-level yogis. Every class ends with relaxation/savasana. For students that are looking for a more restful practice, I also offer restorative yoga.
