Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. I understand it is scary to invite someone into your home or business and bare your soul. Our first meeting can be at a Starbucks or Library if that is more comfortable for you.
Think of me as a Doctor, everything is confidential and if you don't trust me after the first free hour session you have lost nothing but rather gained some knowledge!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. In my 16+ years of experience I have found out that a great many computer problems are flukes that can be fixed by executing a reboot (shutdown and restart). Do this first before calling anyone or pulling your hair out.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My service is personalized to the customers, their wishes and needs. It is highly tailored to their pace of learning, their budget and technology needs. It is like having a personal technology consultant!
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. In January 2011 I have saved a client over $1300 and 4 weeks of downtime on a machine in their woodworking shop. I diagnosed and replaced the $45 part in 5 hrs of labor. I got a personal thank you from the owner and felt good for weeks.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am passionate about technology. I read tons of blogs and publications daily about all the latest gadgets and tech. I visit CES and several other tradeshows regularly. I have a diverse client pool and keep up in most consumer electronics fields as well as office IT and personal tech.
