Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My thought is to hire some one who has a building background and an extensive knowledge of the building trades.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. In the building trades, there is certainly more that meets the eye. When making a large purchase like a house make sure you know all aspects of the house or townhouse that you are purchasing. My number 1 rule is to ask questions.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What experience do you have, do you have any certifications or licenses. For instance I have been doing home inspections for three and a half years but I have been the building trades for twenty three years. I was in the Carpenter' Union for ten years and a general and remodeling contractor for 13.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. When purchasing a home townhouse or condo, what my long term maintenance costs will be. The one area of home inspections that is often overlooked is having an inspection every 3-5 years so that you always some idea of what is going on with your property
