We provide aquatic and land-based personal training. We have a 100,000 gal., 92° pool. Our gym is perfect for those who do not feel comfortable in a large-gym setting. All of our machines are wheelchair accessible.

My name is Frank Barnes. I am certified through NESTA, currently studying for my NASM and NCSF certifications. I am to receive my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in movement science, in December 2010.

I have been personal training for about three years. I have trained a variety of clients. I specialize in older people and those who aim to lose more than 100 pounds.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We stand out from other because we have caring, motivating and professional staff. We have a 100,000 92 degree pool and 102 degree spa. Our personal training program can be in the pool or in out weight room. Our weight room is perfect for those who do not feel comfortable in a large gym setting. All of our machines are wheelchair accessible.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We all need to be physically active but the older we get we need it more. As we age we lose our muscle strength which can lead to falls and serious injuries. By following a resistance program it well help lead to a more healthy, feeling young and independent life style. I love working with the older population because I feel that they have very interesting stories to share and sometimes they are not heard.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Can my body handle a resistance training program? Yes, any age, body and size can. The great thing about a resistance training program is that it is personalized. Meaning, my resistance program will be different than my brothers. We have different needs and goals. So every resistance program will different for each person.
