Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Wordpress blog/vlog and multiuser sites, mobile (iPhone, Android, iPad) apps, web site makeover, SEO, site component development (blog, widgets, video, streaming media, audio), web site development, PayPal e-commerce solutions for online retail, graphic design and layout for multi-dimensional products or services.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Do your homework so that you get it when we talk, otherwise you will not understand and if your business truly needs tools, technologies, solutions or simple marketing, then you better know what you need. This will make my job easier and your budget more forgiving.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Technology will continue to forge on, Social Networks, mass penetration marketing and advertising is key. Think about organic product and services marketing on the Internet.. that is what I do, yet I help you create products along the way or effectively market the products or services you already have.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. My advice to businesses is to know as much as possible about what you are trying to accomplish for your business. In other words, you know your business therefore you should have some vision regarding how you need to improve it so that you will be prepared to come up with viable solutions that I provide as cost effective options.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I previously worked for Intel Corporation in the Legal, Content and Developer Relations Groups (9+ years). I worked for Intertrust Technologies as a DRM (Digital Rights Management) Marketing Manager. I own my own business as a freelance consultant developing once and deploying on MANY PLATFORMS.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I simply love what I do.. I eat breathe and sleep technology.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Most customers are trying to glean more revenue, get more hits and more importantly more sales via the Internet because they simply do not walk in the door. My response is that you need to create a VERY COMPELLING and COMPREHENSIVE VALUE OFFER or STRATEGIC AD CAMPAIGN to CREATE IMMEDIATE CONVERSION.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I had friends, peers and bosses that did not believe distributed music would become wildly popular on PCs. I was authoring music and sharing on web sites back in 1996 when most people had no way of conducting playback on portable devices, yet I did this in preparation of the future.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I wish I could give clients a quick two minute glimpse of how volatile and convoluted my profession is and how many businesses are gouged and charged far more than what they get and how they could have hired someone more knowledgeable to deliver infinitely more for less money.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I created my line of work, as I am a full circle consultant and I had previously worked in Corporations, Music Labels, Media Companies, Ad Agencies and determined none of them could do the full circle delivery of holy-grail multi dimensional media and site delivery.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. One of my key recent accounts it Helm of Sun Valley Ski and Patio retail stores. I redeveloped their web site, launched a couple of iPhone/Android/mobile apps, launched their e-commerce capabilities, Group-On/Deal of the Day like solutions and a VERY HIGH CONVERSION marketing and media solution that is driving very successful marketing to in store revenue.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I continue to study, test, learn and embrace the latest best of breed tools, technologies, the up and coming technologies and revolutionary paradigm shifting trends that continue to change the way we ALL do business.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Mobile device and web site optimization for mobile devices will change the future of consumer sales and marketing indefinitely.
If you dispute the adoption rate or value of mobile apps, mobile web sites or specialized targeted marketing, then you will miss the boat!
Its no different than the when the Internet first started. There were those who moved fast and embraced new technology advancement, and then there were the late comers to the party. Who are you in that mix? Are you willing to miss a party this time around? I don't think anyone can afford to miss the party in this economy.
