Introduction: We are The Foatographers; Evan and Cydney Foat! We are based in San Luis Obispo, CA, but we love to travel and explore new places. We would love for you to let us capture your moment; from individual portraits all the way to weddings and elopements. Why us? We are a team of 2 (husband & wife) who love photography. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day and beyond, the Foatographers were amazing! The wife and I had never done a photoshoot outside of class yearbook photos, so we were a nervous wreck going into both. Having such creative and confident photographers really put both of us at ease, and it shows in the amazing pictures that we received. We're not big on formal, so we wanted a relaxed atmosphere at the wedding. With that kind of chaos, it can be hard for photo teams to work, but not this team! They caught pictures and angles I didn't even think to request. Nothing got in their way, and we now have a huge library of forever memories. They went well above and far beyond any expectations we had. As I mentioned, I'm not a fan of photoshoots, but I'll happily go to the Foatographers for any future photoshoot needs. If I could describe the work they did for us in one word: GORGEOUS!!!

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Evan & Cydney! They took pictures at the welcome party of our wedding weekend and we are so happy we got to work with them. They got a great mix of action photos, photos of the setting and portraits. It was so nice to be in the moment and not need to worry about family members taking pictures of the night. The pictures came out so well and really captured the night. They were so easy to communicate with- even almost 2 years later when I reached out for another folder of the pictures, they responded within an hour. Thank you SO much Evan & Cydney! I would highly recommend working with them!!!!

My wife and I had a great experience with Cydney and Evan. They captured our engagment photos perfectly. We both felt comfortable with them during the shoot. They are professional and have the ability to make it feel effortless. We were impressed with all of the photos we received and the price was extremely fair. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on several components that go into photography: hourly time spent taking photos, time spent editing, equipment upkeep, and travel time. We are willing to work with your budget, so please don't hesitate to let us know what you are thinking!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we will discuss what you are looking for and pricing. Usually, this is done over email (or even text!). Then if you are interested we can meet in person (if possible) or talk on the phone and hash out some more details. When you are ready to book, we send over a contract for you to sign along with a short questionnaire to fill out. Then we proceed with your event/photoshoot!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree in Cinematic Arts from Azusa Pacific University
