I hired Danya to do the make-up for me and my bridal party the day of my wedding, which was on 4.2.16. The first thing that I liked about Danya was her pricing! Very reasonable for a bride on a budget; however, I was a little hesitant because of the reasonable price—other make-up artists quoted 2x what Dayna offered. Danya met me at my grandma’s house for the trial, which went great. Danya is very friendly and professional. She came with a large case of make-up and my hair and make-up application looked amazing. On the day of my wedding, Danya brought an assistant and did the hair and make-up for 7 bridesmaids, myself, and the flower girl (hair only). I have to say, the make-up of all my bridesmaids looked fantastic. I decided to be have my make-up/hair done after all of the girls because I wanted my make-up to last as long as possible! When Danya was through, I loved my hair and make-up. My only complaint is that I have recently received my wedding photos and my foundation color is much too dark for my face. In many pictures, I have a super noticeable line across my jaw line and neck. The jaw line discoloration is apparent in profile pics and the neck discoloration is apparent when I’m looking straight at the camera. I have tried to use different filters, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I did use a self-tanner the night before my wedding, but I used the exact same self tanner at my trial and there is no discoloration in the pictures I have from then. I think the rule is that you should always use a lighter foundation for your face, but the face foundation used was way too dark. I would definitely recommend Danya! I would just maybe recommend using your own foundation or double checking the foundation choice. Without Danya and her reasonable prices, I would have never been able to afford to offer my bridal party hair and make-up services—for this I am very grateful to Danya. Mistakes happen, and I am hoping that this review serves as an honest review with constructive feedback. I relied on reviews for so many things for my wedding, and I think it is my duty to pay-it-forward by providing as much honest information that I can for the next bride.

To stay up on trends I frequently attend make-up shows, bridal shows, and look up fashion shows and attend make-up classes.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I usually do weddings, sweet 16, quinceneras, proms and other special events. But most of my clients are Brides.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always get a trial run before hand. It helps artists get an idea of who you are and what you want.
