English Tutor

Hi, my name is Mallory Murtaugh. I'm available for tutoring in reading and writing for all ages! I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in English literature and a license in secondary education. I am currently in my third year as an educator at Borel Middle School as a language arts teacher. I am passionate about literature and the art of writing. There is so much complexity and truth in both that there is always something new to discover and learn. My students are my life. They bring me such fulfillment and insight, while constantly challenging me as a teacher and a life-long learner. I believe that learning stems from relevance, curiosity, and perseverance. Tutoring is the ideal place for me to work one-on-one with a student. I help him or her establish confidence and excitement for his or her learning through the most current strategies, and ultimately, resulting in a desire to be successful, and a belief that one can do anything what one puts his or her mind to.
