- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently re-volunteered to play music for spinal cord injury wing at the VA hospital. All of the guys either in wheelchairs or flat on their stomachs on a gurney, most had been there since Vietnam. They loved all of the old 50's 60's and 70's music I played. We took a lot of requests and it was not uncommon to see some tears in the eyes of these guys when their songs were playing. It makes you wonder what they were thinking. At the end of my time almost all of the guys came up and thanked me. I realized how absurd that was for them to be thanking me, when I think about what they sacrificed. I didn't accept any financial re-numeration. But it was one of the highest paying jobs I ever had
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How much work is involved and how much preparation time is needed to properly plan for a wedding and reception. Including acquiring and maintaining all of the proper equipment that is necessary to perform our job and the knowledge on how to use it. Not to mention how much training and education is necessary to be a top notch DJ in todays market. What is the difference in DJs why can't a club DJ or a hobby DJ be a good wedding DJ. Why you can't you just load up your iPod and hook it up to your home stereo and have the same effect and have a friend be the master of ceremonies at the wedding reception.
