Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have been circuit bending and repairing electronics for the past 7 years. My experience with equipment and materials is what makes my creations stand out from others.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love exploring circuits and hearing new sounds. This job lets me do both and earn a living at the same time.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Q.Have you ever been shocked?
A. Not by anything electronic.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Before I knew about circuit bending, I was already into fixing consumer electronics like drum machines and guitar pedals. I was looking for information on a replacement potentiometer for a Roland TR-505 when I stumbled across the getlofi.com Blog. From there I discovered where a lot of the sounds from industrial and noise music were coming from, Circuit Bent toys and modified 1980's electronic musical devices.
