Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. You won't know if the health care practitioner is right for you until you have spoken to them and received treatment from them. Pair up what you are looking for in your Health care with what a provider can supply. Payment coverage, an array of treatment kinds, treatment environment, gentle vs deep tissue and of course specialty and location. All these factors matter but won't tell you as much as speaking directly to your practitioner and hearing what they recommend for your treatment plan. At the studio we invite each new client to chat with our practitioners about expectations and what we can offer. We are enthusiastic about matching your needs to our skill sets and making you your very own plan so that you know what is happening with your health care at all times.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Ask if your acupuncturist is trained in Japanese techniques. Even if they do not practice them it means they know more about pain free needling then they otherwise would. Japanese acupuncture is a very superficial style of needling and often involves more energy work and shallow needle techniques as a result of their high emphasis on pain free techniques. Also asking how long someone has been in practice is not a wise way to judge experience or capability. I always ask how frequently practitioners practice qi gong and watch how much time they spend with their clients. The longer the client contact time the more experience they are receiving. The more qigong practiced the more focused the practitioner on the whole. As a practitioner I have been seeing clients for 1.5 years, not long, but I interned under magnificent practitioners for 7 years and was brought up by European acupuncturists and herbalists from as young as 2 months old. We practice qi gong 3-4 times a week at the studio and each client gets a minimum of 30 minutes face time with their practitioners...

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. The studio stands out as it encompasses all kinds of treatment methods into one clinic. Being a purist won't get you anywhere as fast as using any means at your finger tips. We focus on getting you as well as possible as soon as possible using several different methods of treatment, and then we reward you for maintaining your own health. Everyone deserves good health and those
actively seeking it deserve a pat on the back! Our basic treatment plans are our blueprints. We build on them based on each individual and along the way we learn about finding better health for each person.
