Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Before you hire me (or any other provider for that matter) be very clear about what it is you are hoping to have as a result. You might also want to have a path laid out on what you want the provider to do for you as this will save time.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. As in any marketing, you want to be able to deliver three things, and they can be boiled down to:
1. Here is what I have
2. Here is why that is important to you
3. Here is what I need you to do next
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Can you show me examples of your previous work? What happens if I need to make changes? How much of my time will need to be involved? Do you have other providers who can help if you are not available when I need you? When can you get started? When will you have a finished product?
