Christine did an amazing job redoing pretty much my whole house! I had a strict budget and she was not only willing to help design my house within that budget but did it beyond my expectations. She was organized, prompt and had a bunch of useful resources to find house items! I strongly suggest Designology for any house project, big or small!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It is always important to ask for a portfolio of work and references and to check those references. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The more you ask the better off your job will be. Also be sure to provide as much information about what you need and like as possible.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The key too good design begins with a good layout and good ideas. Comb over those design magazines and get an idea as to what you like. You may not know your design style but by pulling all those magazine pictures you like it gives your designer a perfect start as to what you like.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What are your specialties? What is your favorite part about your job? What are your references? What ideas do you have for my space?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I don't do the typical pretty design. Since I grew up in a family that is in construction I have a practical design background as well. I give clients a beautiful product but I make sure it will last and be practical which is most often more important. Beauty fades but practicality lasts forever!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Everything! Mostly though I love the creative process and the opportunity to work with new and amazing people.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. How long it takes to find the right thing. Sometimes you can find things quickly but most of the time there is a lot of hours involved. I also wish they knew interior design isn't just picking out something pretty and throwing it into a room. There is way more strategy and work involved than just that.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I should have known I was destined for this line of work when I was a little kid and would always re-arrange my bedroom and the living room furniture. I have always loved being creative.
