- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin by introducing myself since this isn’t publicly advertised information. Before using Thumbtack, I’d also typically offer to send a copy of my background check. Thankfully, Thumbtack verifies each profile’s background check by default. I know that cleaning services are genuinely needed by many, but it can be so expensive that it prices out potential clients’ budgets! So I always like to make a point to mention that I’m willing to work within your personal budget! You can message me through Thumbtack or through my personal cell. As a pleasant surprise for my clients, and as a way to build rapport, I offer a small discount ($25 off any service) to new customers. I also offer discounts to returning (regularly scheduled) clients- although, this is based off of the services provided, so please contact me for any questions!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been trained by relatives in their personally-owned cleaning businesses, along with training done when I worked at a couple of well-known (and local) hotels!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this business through assisting my aunts when I was 15. My aunts had their own cleaning businesses (both residential & commercial clients), so I decided to come along to help contribute to our household’s income. Since then I’ve had my own clients as well as working in housekeeping at well-established local hotels.
