've had a lot of massage in the last 30 years and I believe Mark is as good as it gets for deep tissue massage. Many claim to be able to do deep tissue, but I've found that most therapists/practitioners never go as deep as I prefer. If you want a seriously deep tissue massage, Mark is the man. I also appreciate that Mark explores the reason for pain, which is often referred from a point further "upstream" in the body. For me, the hip seems to cause the knee and calf to tighten and the pain is felt in the foot. Mark is also a good listener. He only focused on the areas that I wanted him to and didn't wander into other areas of the body. This is particularly important when someone is in pain, and my experience is that most massage therapists spend a fraction of the time working on the problem area and the remainder on other areas- despite what I may have requested. Lastly, Mark's space in Santa Rosa is very peaceful, easy to find, and has two hour free parking available.
