A.
1. Interview at least 2-3 personal trainers prior to making a commitment.
2. Prepare a list of questions prior to interview: i.e.:
A. training philosophy?
B. years of experience?
C. references?
D. areas of expertise? (nutrition, post-rehab, etc.)
E. workout structure? (any pre-workout planning?)
F. chemistry/personality?
G. schedule preferences?
H. pricing/cxl policy?
I. location and atmosphere of training?
J. one free session? Be sure there is a good fit and you are satisfied with his/her style
Take your time to digest all of the above information and don't rush into a decision (2-3 days).
Commit from your heart, work hard, be consistent and be patient for results
A. When addressing my client's health and fitness concerns, I realize each is unique and complex. Each has different wants, needs and mental dispositions. Therefore, I adjust my strategies individually for helping them reach their goals. As a result, they sense that I really care and work hard to help them succeed in their fitness programs. While working hard, I also believe in keeping exercise as enjoyable as possible!
A. Simply helping people to improve their quality of life -- feel better, look better, reduce risk of disease and gain more self confidence.
A. What do you charge? Answer: $80 to $95 per session depending on travel, in-home training vs. studio training, and number of sessions or time you will invest in.
When will I see results? Answer: Typically eight weeks, only if you are eating clean and remain consistent with your strength and cardio workouts.
How often do I need to workout? Answer: For strength fitness, a minimum of 2x per week. For cardiorespiratory (cardio) fitness, at least 3x per week, but ideally 5+ days per week.
How often do I need to meet with you? Answer: Typically I meet with my clients 2x per week. I have a handful of clients I see as many as 4x per week and as little as 1x per week.
Do you advocate a specific diet/nutrition plan? Answer: Yes. I support a modified version of the ZONE diet, allowing slightly more starch (bread, rice, etc.). I also like the Paleo diet. While challenging (plant foods and lean proteins only), it will bring about the biggest change in weight reduction in the shortest period of time.
A. My client wins 2011 Academy Award!!!
I'm proud and humbled to have trained a 2011 Academy Award winner to look his best for Oscar night!
His hard work and dedication to his fitness program paid off. He looked absolutely fabulous on TV and delivered an incredible and heart felt acceptance speech.
I am so proud of his professional and fitness accomplishments. We still train together three times per week. Confidentiality issues will not allow me to disclose his name.
