Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. In my experience there are many people who have similar technical skills... and there are a lot of great designers out there.
My best advice for people looking for a web designer is to take your time. get multiple quotes and Interview a few people. Try to find someone who you feel listens and connects with you. Make sure they understand your vision for your project. The right fit can mean the difference between a good and bad job.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. The most significant advance in websites and web design is the development of open source software. Wordpress is an example of an open source web platform. It is like having a website builder online. Almost every client these days wants to be able to edit their own content after their website is built. Wordpress and similar solutions allow the user to maintain their own website without learning advanced html or software.
