FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am still a student. I am currently attending UCLA to finish up some prerequisites for my Graduate School application. Since I am constantly tutoring, i make sure to keep up with new textbook editions and lesson plans. I constantly keep contact with high school teachers around my area who provide me with information about what their classes are currently covering so i am better able to help their students outside of the classroom.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common types of jobs are Algebra, Calculus, and Spanish 1 or 2. This is because once kids get passed algebra with a solid understanding, every other math class will not seem as hard as Algebra. When they get to calculus though, it is a completely new world, and they may need a little push to understand the material not necessarily in such a mathematical way, but rather applied to the real world. Spanish 1 and 2 are difficult since they are usually just starting to learn a new language--which isn't easy at all. It just takes the right motivation and environment to get somebody to want to learn such an easy language as it is the case for Spanish.
