Introduction: My name is Genevieve Jerome. Yes, my name is French, but I'm Italian. Kind of neat isn't it? I'm an award-winning photographer based out of Northern California. I specialize in natural, outdoor lighting Photography. I think a person looks their very best in natural lighting, and it is my job to create beautiful images that will last you a lifetime. I also specialize in HDR Photography, and currently sell my artwork photography at art shows throughout Northern California. The relationship between a photographer and their client is truly a beautiful one. I take photos of you and your loved ones that hopefully you'll love and adore, and you share those photos with your friends and family that hopefully they'll love and adore. See? Isn't it such a beautiful thing? My love and passion for Photography started at a very young age when I got my tiny little hands on my Grandfathers camera. Once I realized that the camera could capture moments and make those moments permanent, I fell in love with photography. When I'm not shooting weddings or portraits, you can usually find me drinking coffee, binge watching Gilmore Girls, listening to Jazz, obsessing over design ideas on Pinterest, hiking with my dogs, building new backdrops for food photo shoots, and taking day-cations with my amazing husband. I love people! I love capturing unique moments that will last forever. I love telling people's stories. Call it the journalist in me, but I think photographs can tell a lifetime of stories and I make sure that every shot I capture is a creative and unique one that you will forever love.

About four weeks before our wedding, I got the phone call every bride dreads. My photographer canceled. She had gone into early, very early, labor and given birth to her daughter. Her daughter was in the NICU and was expected to remain there for months. Of course, I completely understood that she needed to cancel, but I was panicking. How on Earth will I find another photographer on such late notice? I messaged a friend from high school on Facebook and I asked her if she knew anyone that might be interested. She had worked as a photographer for a college paper so I figured she was a good place to start. She asked around and then introduced me to Genevieve Jerome. Genevieve was available and was happy to shoot our wedding. I met Genevieve face-to-face about two hours before our wedding started, but I felt like I already knew her since we had been in touch over the past weeks. She did an amazing job. Not only was she shooting our wedding, she was also shooting our daughter's dedication (we had it at the end of the wedding ceremony) and our reception. We also had a few family photos that we needed taken (three-generation photos were a must!). She planned serious photos as well as fun and goofy photos that showed our personalities. She was simply amazing. I was so impressed to begin receiving digital image previews within a few days of our wedding and then I received the disc with all the photos on it. We looked through all the photos and were so impressed that she covered so many little details that we weren't expecting. It is one thing to look at the pictures on the computer, it's an entirely different experience to hold the printed images in your hands and be in complete awe and shock at how well they turned out. I could not be any happier with our photos and I am so excited that we will continue to work with Genevieve in the future.

Where do we start!!! Well First off we found Genevieve on Thumbtack and what a blessing that turned out to be. Genevieve is the most awesome and professional photographer. She is so energetic and full of great ideas. Our wedding was set for 4pm and she showed up at 2pm to get shots of me, the bride and my wedding party. Before our wedding even started she has shot over 1,000 pictures. She and her assistant, caught every moment of memories not only in still shots, but also video. Genevieve stayed for the majority of our wedding reception. She was loved by all of our guest. We couldn't have found a better photographer to capture our special day. Our preview shots brought us to tears, as they are awesome. We highly recommend Genevieve Jerome Photography to all. We have truly made a life long friend. Soon she will be shooting my daughters family portraits also. Our wedding was in Fresno and Genevieve never hesitated to make the long journey. I know that she will put a big smile on any bride and groom's face.

Finding a wedding photographer was such an overwhelming task and my husband and I were so glad to have found Genevieve Jerome Photography. From our initial discussions, we found that she as easy to work with, offered us different photo packages to help us stay in my budget, and had a fun journalistic style of photography that worked perfectly with our personalities and venue. Genevieve was extremely organized in the months leading up to my wedding and maintained constant contact. It was reassuring to know that she had everything under control. On the day of our wedding, she and her assistant showed up early and were ready to go. Despite the fact that I was still running around to set things up (my wedding was mainly DIY) Genevieve set about taking dress photos and pre-wedding shots without me having to ask. My husband, a stickler for tradition, didn’t want to take any pre-ceremony shots, so Genevieve efficiently used that time to get separate bridesmaid and groomsmen photos. During the ceremony, we didn’t even notice she and her assistant were there taking photos. We were surprised at some of the great shots they got because they were very quiet and unobtrusive. Ninja photographers! Genevieve really shined during the family photos. Knowing that we were on a tight timeline, she organized everyone for a super-fast and efficient photo shoot and even included some fun group photos at my request. This was the first time my whole family had been together in several years so I know it couldn’t have been easy to get us to stop talking and take photos! The photos were truly beautiful and I laughed and cried as I clicked through the easy access online gallery she put up for me and my family. Like everyone says, the wedding was a blur to me and I can barely even remember some of the moments during the reception so I am grateful to have the photos to relive the memories. The lighting at our venue was very difficult to work with (indoor mostly low-light with some blinding accent lights) and she handled it expertly and used the strange lighting conditions to create some really cool lighting effects. Genevieve was also very accommodating to all the crazy shots my husband and I wanted to try out. Our venue was in a planetarium so we had to get some fun photos! He really is resistant to being photographed and claims to not be photogenic at all, but Genevieve’s photos really brought out his character and he looked comfortable in all the photos. He barely lets me take photos of him! I will treasure these photos even more knowing that I will probably never get him to agree to take so many photos again. Thank you Genevieve for capturing the energy and excitement of our planetarium wedding so perfectly!
