Outstanding “coach” for me (& my 7 month old crazy mutt, Max). Nate came in the nick of time; I truly did not realize how miserable it had been working by myself with a new dog. The support, knowledge, and training I have gotten from this very talented man is undeniable. What two training sessions can do! I am SO happy that we chose Nate! When I contacted him, I was at my wits end with our 4mth old American Bully puppy. She was nipping-a lot, and was very aggressive. Her behavior was causing my younger children, to have bad experiences- which almost lead to us having to re-home her. Nate came in and saved the day! He gave us practical/realistic training, that only relied on our consistency. When I say we have a totally new dog- I mean it! He taught us how to confidently implement boundaries, and lead our household accordingly. Not to mention all of these things are done in the comfort of your own home (how convenient is that?). I'm a first time dog owner and have been working with Nate for help with my young Bernese Mountain Dog/Great Pyrenees puppy. When I first hired Nate, my puppy was a lot to manage and I didn't think I'd be capable of training her properly. As a larger dog breed, there were concerns around safety of others so training was a MAJOR priority. After even one session in person I noticed a tremendous difference in her behavior. I noticed I was actually enjoying having her as my puppy vs. before when I would dread having to figure out how to manage her behavior. After four sessions, my puppy is almost a different dog. She's more responsive to me, has stopped exhibiting bad behaviors and is a joy to go on a walk with. Every tip he's given me has worked with my dog. Non treat-based training has so many benefits and Nate is truly the expert. He's been able to answer any question I have around my dog and is always available if I need advice. He's extremely easy to engage with and works around your schedule and lifestyle. If you're considering a dog trainer I STRONGLY urge you to hire Nate even for a few sessions!! You'll notice the difference with your dog and develop skills as a dog owner that will last.

I learned the 1st time Nathan came to my house that the training was more about me than my 9 month old Australian Shepherd! I lacked confidence and I was confusing my dog. Nathan was so patient and informative. What he taught me was not overwhelming and completely doable. I just need to be consistent and in control. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my pricing is fair and competitive. on the first training if the client has more than one dog I do not charge for the extra dog.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to have a phone consultation before working with a new client so that I can answer any questions they might have and explain my process and methods to them so they know what to expect when I arrive
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i finished a one year course and became a certified dog trainer. I have worked with many different dogs and people since that time.
