One of the hardest times to think creatively is when you're grieving for someone. Let me do the creating for you.
* portraits
I am an excellent portrait artist, and have the ability to capture the life and love that emanates from my subject. I work from your favorite snapshots, and can construct your drawing from several photos (favorite outfit, your loved-one's favorite spot behind them, his/her beloved pet on their lap or at their feet, best hair, etc.).
* programs
Programs need to honor your loved one as well as outline the ceremony. They often include an obituary, several photos, a favorite song or poem, etc.
Let me help you during this difficult time.
I charge $95.00 for an unframed, 8x10, colored pencil portrait with a simple background. Whatever the charge for framing is, I add that to your bill. If you'd like to see a full breakdown on the portrait prices, please visit my website.
I charge $80.00 for setting up the program, and $0.60 per copy. The expedited shipping charge will be added to the bill. To give a reference, I mailed 175 programs with the unframed portrait yesterday using overnight shipping and paid $37.00.
A. Find an artist or a company that actually cares if the work is there on time. Talk to someone in person.
A. I'm not a huge company. I'm one artist who gets what a terrible time it is when you lose someone you love. I'll make this part easy on you and take it off your plate. I get it that we're on a tight time schedule and we'll figure out how to get you what you need before the viewing and funeral
A. I've been graced with a talent that can help people. I love that I can make something that will give comfort to a person who's hurting.
A. #1 - Can you get it done on time
Absolutely. If I can't, I won't take the job and I'll help you find the company that can.
#2 - Will it look like them
Yes
#3 - What if I don't have all the information
Then we reaarange the program and omit the areas where you don't know the answers and put something else about your loved one in that place. There's no set way a program must look. It's a keepsake honoring your loved one. It's not a block and paste business trifold.
