I offer private baby photography in your home.
Don't worry about packing a diaper bag, feeding, diapers or being on time - I will come to you! This puts less stress on the baby, which allows me to capture the true sweet baby that you have.
I am a natural light photographer (I do not use a flash).
Question and answer
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I did a follow up shoot for a three month old (I did his first day photos in the hospital) and he was super fussy. I worked around it but I could see that his parents were getting anxious about what kind of photos they would be getting with such a cranky baby. The following is from an email I got from his Mom after she viewed her gallery,"These pictures are amazing! We are so happy with them! You cant even tell Liam was fussy!!! You are GOOD!"
Working with babies I understand that they wont be the easiest to "work" with but I do know that inbetween those crazy moments are shots of a calm baby. I know when to wait for them or when to tell the parents to go ahead a take a minute to calm the baby down. I let the baby run the show and work around their needs.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. When to hire me. These days parents have professional grade cameras and think that they dont need to hire a professional to take their photos. In some cases this is true; such a first bath, first taste of "real" food or when they start to crawl. In other cases it is important to hire a professional, not only to give professional feel to your home photos but also allow you to be in the photos (usually one of the parents is the picture taker and is never in photos). Knowing when to hire a professional is key; when your baby is brand new, special milestones, holidays.
Most prefessionals are able to look at your baby and family in a different light, they have fun and creative ideas to capture your family.
